Interparfums has further expanded its perfume portfolio by securing the licenses for Nautica and David Beckham. Interparfums targets annual sales surpassing $50m for David Beckham and $70m for Nautica. These acquisitions represent a bet on mass-market appeal and brand legacy.

For Coty, which previously held those two licences, this loss compounds an increasingly difficult situation, following the loss of the Gucci license (its third largest licence) to L’Oréal.
When combining its U.S. and French operations, Interparfums now has the industry’s largest licence portfolio with 25 active agreements. Coty follows with 18 licenses, while L’Oréal holds 16.

These recent developments highlight the fiercely competitive and fluid nature of the beauty licensing arena.
